Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a LPN / LVN for a travel job in Kodiak Island, Alaska.

LPN/LVN – Long Term Care / Acute Care / Outpatient

Location: Alaska (Critical Access Hospital / LTC Facility)
Shifts: Variable (3x12 or 5x8; Days 07:00–15:00 or Mids 15:00–23:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
Guaranteed Hours: 60 per 2 weeks (may be called off 1x12 hr shift per 2 weeks)

Requirements

• License: Alaska LPN license (in hand strongly preferred; pending accepted – 10–12 weeks)
• Certs: BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year required
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Locals: Not accepted (must be 50+ miles away)
• Charting: Epic
• References: 2 supervisory within last 3 years (1 year total coverage)
• Vaccinations: Hep B vaccination only accepted (no titers/declination)

Responsibilities / Skills

• General LPN duties in LTC, acute care, outpatient, psych, rehab, SNF settings
• Skills required:
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Foley (male & female)
  • NG/G-tube care
  • IM & SQ injections
  • O2 administration (mask, nasal cannula)
  • Isolation precautions
  • Admission assessments & communication with RN/MD
  • Ambulation, bathing, mouth care, vital signs monitoring
• Floating: Yes – within scope (hospital units + affiliates as needed)
• Weekend coverage: Required
• Block scheduling: Not available

• Beds: 46 acute care + 22 LTC
• Scrubs: Any solid color or business casual
• Parking: Free
• Charting: Epic

Housing & Vehicle (provided by facility)

• Housing: 1-bedroom apartment provided (no pets, no family unless approved)
• Housing available 72 hrs before start → 24 hrs after contract ends
• Must clean upon departure or fees may apply
• Vehicle: Facility-provided rental car/vehicle
  • Only traveler may operate
  • Must show valid DL + personal insurance with rental coverage
  • Vehicle restricted to ~30-mile radius; must return during contract time off
  • Traveler responsible for cleaning & refueling
