Job Details
We are a multi-brand, international services company seeking an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day AR and AP, support monthly close and reporting, and help drive process improvement across a growing, mid-size environment. You will be a working manager who partners closely with a tight-knit team, sets pace and quality standards, and builds the operating muscle needed for scale.
What you will own
- Oversee daily accounting operations across AR and AP, including people leadership, workflow management, and service levels
- Tighten close cadence, reconciliations, controls, and documentation to ensure accuracy and visibility for leadership
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and key reconciliations across entities
- Support financial reporting, audits, and tax-related deliverables with clean, well-documented workpapers
- Partner on an ERP selection and implementation targeted in the next 12 to 18 months, including requirements, process mapping, testing, and change management
- Collaborate with an international accounting teammate to support multi-entity activity and cross-border operations
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements that reduce manual work and increase accuracy
What you bring
- Assistant Controller or top-tier Accounting Manager background in a mid-size environment ($250-$600M)
- Hands-on leadership style that models ownership and teamwork
- Strong GAAP fundamentals and attention to detail
- CPA required + public accounting experience highly preferred
- International experience strongly preferred
- ERP exposure and appetite to support selection and implementation (in tandem with the VP)
