Controls Engineer (Electrical/Automation)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in the automation and control systems sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for industrial processes, specifically in the paper and pulp industries. You will play a key role in enhancing efficiency, reliability, and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for industrial automation applications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in control systems and automation processes.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics and diagrams using CAD tools, specifically AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for control systems and components.
  • Conduct tests and simulations to ensure system functionality and reliability.
  • Implement and oversee power distribution systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for maintenance staff on control systems operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related working experience.
  • Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer in an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems including Rockwell, Allen Bradley, and Siemens.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and their integration in control systems.
  • Experience in CAD software
  • Solid understanding of sensors and their application in automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
