Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mailroom Clerk to join our mortgage operations team in Clearwater, FL. This role focuses on the secure handling, processing, and tracking of mortgage notes and related legal documents. The ideal candidate will have experience in document management, a strong understanding of mortgage documentation, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, with a focus on mortgage notes and legal documents.

· Log and track all mortgage-related documents using internal systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.

· Prepare documents for scanning and digital archiving, ensuring clarity and legibility.

· Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of critical documents.

· Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.

· Assist in audits by providing requested documentation promptly and accurately.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations regarding document handling and privacy.

· Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to document integrity.

Qualifications

· Familiarity with mortgage documents, including promissory notes and deeds of trust.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

· Office environment with standard working hours (8 to 5).

· May require lifting boxes
