Nurse Practitioner – Medical Oncology

Under supervision of the physician, provides primary care to oncology patients as an assistant to the physicians. Scope of responsibility includes expert practitioner, educator/teacher, care management, consultant, nurse researcher, and nurse leader. May prescribe medication, provide emergency care, and make patient referrals to appropriate license physician. Qualifications: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nursing Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Experience in oncology nursing post MSN preferred. Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification is required.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
