The Charge Nurse provides clinical and administrative leadership for the nursing team in the outpatient mental health clinic. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for staff. The Charge Nurse reports directly to the Director of Nursing and acts as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, and administrative personnel.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM

What your day might look like:
- Manage nursing and provider schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient clinic flow.
- Process and coordinate provider transfer requests in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, as well as ensure training and support are provided as needed to the team.
- Facilitate management of the Spravato Clinic
- Attends and runs meetings as scheduled and provides monthly support to the nursing team through scheduled check ins.
- Assists with monitoring Quality Measures and PSYCKES implementation and reporting;
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee management of inventory and supply orders, including medication orders and samples
Your skills and qualifications:
- NYS Department of Education Registered Professional Nurse
- Practiced as an RN for a minimum of two years
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience strongly preferred
- CPR certified
