Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll operate 20′, 26′, and 28′ box trucks—delivering supplies from our Houston warehouse to surrounding port facilities. You’ll plan efficient routes, maintain delivery schedules, perform routine inspections, and uphold all company and legal driving standards. On non-driving days, you’ll support our warehouse team with inventory organization and order preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate 20′, 26′, and 28′ straight-body box trucks to deliver goods to ports and terminals in the Houston area
* Plan and follow the most efficient, safe routes for daily deliveries
* Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections; complete preventative maintenance checks
* Adhere to an 8-hour driving schedule, ensuring on-time deliveries
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest breaks, mileage, and fuel expenses
* Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and local driving laws
* Assist warehouse staff with inventory counting, stocking, and order staging when not on delivery runs
Qualifications
* Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with all required endorsements (e.g., tanker, hazardous materials, if applicable)
* Minimum of 2 years’ professional truck-driving experience—preferably with box trucks (20′ – 28′)
* Completion of an accredited trucking school or equivalent training certificate
* Clean driving record and a passable background check & drug screening
* Proficiency with GPS navigation systems, CB radio communication, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) tools
* Strong knowledge of federal and state trucking regulations
* Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb in/out of vehicles, and secure cargo properly
* Willingness to work occasional early mornings or late shifts as business needs dictate
* TWIC preferred but not a requirement.
