Role Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing outbound and inbound freight operations while ensuring high levels of B2B customer satisfaction. This role serves as a key point of contact between internal teams, clients, carriers, and retail partners to coordinate routing, resolve shipping issues, and ensure on-time, compliant deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Freight Coordination
- Coordinate domestic freight shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel) in accordance with retailer routing guides and client requirements
- Schedule pickups, track shipments, and proactively manage delays or exceptions
- Communicate with carriers and freight partners to resolve delivery issues
Retailer & Routing Compliance
- Work directly with key retail partners to ensure routing, labeling, and delivery compliance
- Manage routing requests, ASNs, appointments, and chargeback prevention efforts
- Act as the primary contact for retailer logistics inquiries
Client & B2B Customer Support
- Serve as a main point of contact for clients regarding shipping status, issues, and logistics coordination
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and timely issue resolution
- Support client onboarding by aligning shipping expectations and processes
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, inventory control, and customer service teams
- Ensure accurate documentation including BOLs, packing lists, and shipping confirmations
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics workflows
Reporting & Administration
- Track freight performance, delivery metrics, and customer satisfaction indicators
- Maintain accurate shipment records within internal systems
- Identify trends related to delays, damages, or carrier performance
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations
- Experience working with B2B clients and retail routing requirements preferred
- Strong understanding of freight modes, carrier coordination, and shipping documentation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in WMS, TMS, or logistics-related systems (experience with Unify or similar a plus)
