Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in the San Luis Obispo, CA area is seeking experienced clinical pharmacists to fill critical hospital pharmacy roles on a contract basis. These positions offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment with a variety of clinical responsibilities. Candidates must be ready for an ASAP start to ensure continued excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders with attention to accuracy and safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in day-to-day operations
  • Provide clinical consultations to physicians and nursing staff
  • Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize patient medication regimens
  • Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell for pharmacy management

Schedule Options:

  • Day Shift Pharmacist: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
  • Night Shift Pharmacist: 7 days on followed by 7 days off, 10.5-hour night shifts (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Qualifications:

  • Current pharmacist license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and hospital protocols
  • Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell preferred
