Job DescriptionPart-Time Community Support Staff (Youth – Age 17)
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: 6 hours per week (with opportunity for additional hours as more positions become available in the area)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and supportive individual to work one-on-one with a 17-year-old youth who needs assistance accessing and participating in community activities. This role focuses on promoting independence, confidence, and positive social experiences in a safe and supportive manner. Does prefer to work with someone young.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the individual with community access and participation (e.g., recreational activities, outings, skill-building activities)
- Encouraging social interaction and appropriate communication skills
- Assisting with planning and engaging in structured and meaningful activities
- Providing supervision and guidance to ensure safety in the community
- Offering positive reinforcement and emotional support
- Communicating professionally with the family and agency as needed
Qualifications:
- Dependable, patient, and compassionate
- Comfortable working with teens
- Ability to engage youth in positive, age-appropriate activities
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a DHS background check
- Prior experience in caregiving, youth work, or support services is a plus (not required)
Schedule & Hours:
- Approximately 6 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Additional hours may be available as more positions open in the area

Compensation: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
