**Job Summary:**
We are currently seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for assisting patients with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience. This is a non-patient facing role with our scheduling team located at our corporate headquarters.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Proven customer service experience in a medical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
**Responsibilities:**
- Schedule patient appointments in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients and providers.
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless patient experience.
**Additional Skills:**
- Empathy and compassion when dealing with patients over the phone.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
