Job DescriptionSalary: $55,579.00 minimum
SUPERVISOR: Building Principal
POSITION SUMMARY: Assisting students in having productive, quality educational experiences and planning for their future by providing support and guidance; working side-by-side with school staff to help students explore their unlimited potential and make their best, well-informed choices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to crises as they arise (suicide assessments, threat assessments, Safe2Say Something tips, etc.)
- Respond to emails/phone calls
- Meet with students individually and/or in groups to meet their social/emotional needs/address any concerns
- Manage all 504 plans
- Ensure all 504 plans are up to date and on IAA template
- Ensure that accommodations are listed in PowerSchool under the book symbol
- Coordinate with Nurse Rebecca on all 504 plans for medical reasons
- Hold 504 plan meetings via phone or in-person with parents/guardians
- Have all teachers sign off on 504 plans and make sure they understand the accommodations for students in their classes with 504 plans
- Participate in Attendance Improvement Plan meetings with Truancy Officer
- Serve as Homeless Liaison/Foster Care Liaison
- Enter newly identified students into ECYEH system
- Coordinate to ensure that transportation is set up and all needs are being met
- Provide appropriate resources to students/parents for outpatient therapists, community organizations, etc.
- Make all schedule changes in PowerSchool to students schedules
- Provide orientation program to all new students who begin school after the opening day
- Obtain release of information and/or speak with outside providers to ensure that the students needs are being met
- Meet with students and/or parents/guardians to discuss life after high school (applying to colleges/trade schools/technical schools, taking the SATs, completing the FAFSA, etc.)
- Ensure all grades are in PowerSchool accurately and completely
- Print and mail out official transcripts to all seniors who graduated
- Print and mail out official transcripts to colleges/universities where seniors are attending
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Request records and/or respond to records requests as needed
- Facilitate peer mediation sessions and/or teacher/student mediation sessions as needed
- Preparations for Spring PSSAs and Spring Keystone Exams
- Determine which students will be taking which Keystone Exams
- Create test sessions and test tickets
- Create a roster for testing rooms, proctors, etc.
- Ensure all teachers have received the online training
- Provide in-person training on how to proctor exams
- Facilitate the administration of PSSAs
- Prepare test boxes for proctors
- Ensure all supplies are readily available to students and staff
- Member of Child Study Team, SAP Team, and MTSS Team.
