Travel ICU RN – Community Hospital | 90 Beds | EPIC
Travel opportunity for an experienced ICU RN at a 90-bed community hospital with a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit.
Assignment Details
• Unit: ICU
• Facility Size: 90 beds
• ICU Beds: 14
• Shift: 12-hour rotating (days or nights based on unit need)
• Orientation: 2 days
• EMR: EPIC
• Medication System: PYXIS
Patient Ratios
• 2:1 or 3:1 (day and night)
Patient Population
Adult ICU patients (18+) including:
• Sepsis
• Respiratory failure (BiPAP, High Flow, ventilator support)
• DKA
• ETOH withdrawal
• Overdose / suicidal ideation
• CHF exacerbations
• Dysrhythmias
• NSTEMI / unstable angina
• COVID
• Pulmonary embolism
• GI bleed
Unit Support
• Pulmonologist available during the day
• CNA / PCT support: 1 per shift (day & night)
• Unit Secretary: 1 on day shift
• Additional clinical staff support on unit
Floating
• Possible float to Med-Surg if ICU census is low
• May care for ICU-level patients boarding in the ER
Requirements
• 3+ years ICU experience
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Prior travel experience preferred
Scheduling
• 12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
