A well-established property management firm in La Mesa, California is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a potential temp-to-hire opportunity. This role supports both HOA and rental property accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in managing complex financial workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Review accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Monitor budgets and assist with forecasting
  • Budget preparation support
  • Journal entries, corrections, and credit adjustments
  • Vendor updates
  • Invoice processing, check printing, and document uploads
  • HOA loan setup and inquiries


  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in property management platforms (CINC, AppFolio preferred)
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in property management accounting is a plus
