As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Each room requires deep cleaning, including making the bed, flipping the mattress, and disinfecting all surfaces. You will also handle the removal and disposal of linens. Additionally, you will clean isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean non-occupied patient rooms within 20-30 minutes.
- Make beds, flip mattresses, and disinfect entire rooms.
- Handle and dispose of linens, lifting and placing them down the chute.
- Clean isolation rooms following strict safety measures and protocols.
- Mop floors with a string mop and ensure all areas are sanitized.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of previous experience in hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team.
- Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with deep cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

Work Environment
This role is based in a hospital setting where professionalism is key. Facial piercings are not permitted, and tattoos must be covered. The shift runs from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends requiring work on two days out of the week. Most of the time, you will work independently, emphasizing the importance of being a self-starter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROUND ROCK, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr.
