Labelink USA is a leader in flexible packaging/printing solutions, known for highquality flexographic work. We focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork. As demand grows, we are seeking a skilled Plate Mounter to join our prepress department.



Job Summary

The Plate Mounter is responsible for accurately mounting flexographic printing plates onto cylinders or sleeves according to specifications, ensuring precision for print registration and quality. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and ensuring that presses run smoothly.



Key Responsibilities

  • Review job orders and plate mounting specifications (e.g. plate type, size, orientation)
  • Clean, inspect, and, if needed, make minor repairs to plates prior to mounting
  • Apply mounting tape, align and mount plates on cylinders or sleeves with high precision
  • Trim, proof, and perform quality control checks (registration, alignment, defects)
  • Maintain and organize prepress/work area (plates, sleeves, tapes, etc.)
  • Transport mounted plate assemblies to press staging area
  • Clean mounting equipment, remove used plates, wash and dry plates as needed
  • Record and report any defects, equipment issues, or discrepancies
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and foodsafety/cleaning protocols if applicable



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous flexographic plate mounting or related prepress/graphics experience preferred, but training provided for the right candidate
  • Basic math skills, ability to read rulers/tape measures to close tolerances
  • Good attention to detail, ability to spot defects (wrinkles, backing issues, alignment problems)
  • Ability to lift up to ~5075 lbs occasionally and to stand for prolonged periods
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and job tracking
  • Strong work ethic, punctual, good attendance



Schedule & Compensation

  • Full time, MondayThursday 2:30 pm to 12:30 am (2nd shift depending on production needs)
    • Training is on 1st shift Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Starting wage$18.00 an hour(depending on experience)
  • Overtime as needed
