Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for experienced Early Childhood Special Education teachers to support students in K12 settings within the Denver area. These full-time contract positions are focused on co-teaching classrooms aimed at providing high-quality special education services for young learners, with an emphasis on early childhood development.
Location: Aurora, CO
Duration: 2025-26 school year (ASAP start through May 22, 2026)
Schedule: Full-time, 35+ hours per week
Setting: On-site only, no remote or hybrid options
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in early childhood (ages 0-8) in inclusive co-teaching environments.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies tailored to meet diverse learner needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification.
- Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement required.
- Prior experience working with young children with special needs in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
