Medical Economist Compensation
- The pay for this position is 26.00-27.00 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
Medical Economist Highlights
The required availability for this position is 8a – 4pm (30 min lunch) Frequent level of travel (approximately 70%) within designated area
Medical Economist Requirements
- Analysis of GeoAccess and Gap analysis report submitted
- Monthly review of submitted Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)
- Review of weekly file submission of each provider network for validations and remediations
- Review of weekly ‘snapshots’ produced by Deloitte/MEMM to see changes in network.
- Comparative analysis between monthly submitted QIPs to explain the gaps in each’s network.
- Analysis of the explanation of the gap reasons including comparison to data and updates about changes in availability of providers.
- Provide feedback including analysis results to each on the findings of the QIP and snapshot analytics.
- Issuance of Corrective Action or Formal Improvement Plans based on the findings of the above stated analysis
Medical Economist Licensure/Certifications:
- Possess bachelor’s degree, and At least two (2) years of experience doing medical economic analyses
- A working knowledge of inpatient and outpatient medical industry operations or claims analysis to identify aberrant billing patterns
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
