Our client, in the non-profit industry, is in need for an Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk for a temporary assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates in accounting or related fields—as well as candidates with administrative experience who are eager to transition into accounting. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, recording and verifying transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the integrity of organizational financial statements.

- Collect, review, and input monthly sales data
- Reconcile cash/credit transactions; identify discrepancies
- Data entry of accounting transactions
- Posting/data entry of accounts receivable payments
- Track board and restricted donations
- Assist the accounting team with any projects or tasks needed
- Handle returned checks, credit card disputes, and outstanding checks
- Maintain organization and retention of accounting documents
- Other tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years general accounting or relevant administrative experience, or recent grad in accounting/related field
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Experience with Sage or QuickBooks preferred, but not required
- Tech savvy to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter on new projects
- Strong attention to detail and organization
