Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position spanning the full school year. This role focuses on supporting pediatric students with speech and language needs within a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in healthcare settings is preferred
- Pediatric speech-language pathology expertise
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in schools or with K-12 populations
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and IEP development as required
