Job Description
The Licensed therapist will provide clinical therapeutic services to children, and adolescents, with an identified behavioral or mental health diagnosis. Services are provided with a person-centered approach as well as family sessions utilizing goal specific interventions.
Responsibilities:
· Provides quality psychotherapeutic and discharge planning services to all consumer populations and their families.
· Provides assessment, group treatment, family therapy, and discharge planning.
· Serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy.
-Provide crisis intervention as needed
-Participate in Child, Family and Team Meetings
-Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans
- Coordinate and communicate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care
-Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support for individuals with autism, special needs, gender issues, substance use, sexualized behaviors and other specific concerns.
- Provides quality psychotherapeutic and discharge planning services to all consumer populations and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.)
- Valid licensure as a therapist (LCSW, LCSW-A, LCAS, LPC, LPA or LMFT or active provisional license)
- Experienced and interested in providing services to children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients
- Understanding of ethical guidelines and professional boundaries in therapy
