Job DescriptionA trusted provider of commercial mechanical services across Pennsylvania, is currently seeking a Commercial Service Plumber to join their team in the Lancaster, PA area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently perform commercial plumbing service calls, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement.
* Diagnose, repair, replace, and install components of:
* Sewer ejection pits and controls.
* Commercial water heaters, such as 100-gallon high-efficiency units.
* Drain line systems, including cleaning and inspection.
* Domestic water mixing valves.
* Flushometers.
* Closed-loop piping systems (e.g., hot water heating loops).
* Domestic water booster pumps.
* Pressure reducing valves.
* Commercial water softeners.
* Provide clear explanations of work performed and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades to clients.
* Maintain accurate service documentation via tablet and smartphone applications.
* Participate in an on-call rotation after the first 6-8 weeks of employment, with a stipend provided.
* Utilize a company-provided service vehicle to respond to service calls promptly.
* Adhere to safety protocols, including participation in background checks, drug screenings, and driving record verifications.
* Ensure high-quality work that meets both company standards and customer expectations.
Key Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required; trade school, technical training, military service, or equivalent work experience preferred.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial plumbing systems in a service environment.
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
* Ability to provide basic hand tools (larger tools and equipment supplied).
* Must pass pre-employment screenings, including criminal background, drug testing, and driving record checks.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven experience in diagnosing and servicing a wide range of commercial plumbing equipment and systems.
* Capability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
* Basic computer skills to manage digital service records and communication.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to service challenges.
* Journeyman or Master Plumbing License preferred but not required.
* Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility based on service demands.
* Comfortable commuting within 30 minutes of Lancaster for emergency service needs.
