(Variable start times between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM or 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Position Overview
IRT is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and support nuclear cardiology services. The technologist will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic evaluation.
This role requires strong experience with nuclear cardiology procedures and electronic medical records systems.
Key Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately

Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and ensure image quality

Monitor patients during procedures and ensure patient safety

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system

Follow radiation safety and regulatory compliance standards

Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care

Support nuclear cardiology diagnostic procedures

Maintain equipment and perform quality assurance checks
Requirements
Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
ARRT (R)(N) or NMTCB Certification
Experience
-
Prior Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required

Experience with EPIC EMR system required
