Chop Saw Operator

Day Shift – 5am-2pm or 6am-3pm

$16-$18/hr dependent on experience, lunch in between with overtime required as needed (usually working Saturdays, average of 50 hour weeks).

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, must be able to stand for 8 hour periods, must be able to sit, stand, kneel, reach, for long periods.

Background check required and disclosed.

Description:

The Chop Saw Operator is responsible for safely and accurately cutting materials according to production specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, precise measurement skills, and adherence to all safety procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

• • Must be able to read a tape measure down to the 1/16”
• • Set up, operate, and maintain chop saws and related cutting equipment.
• • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, cut sheets, and work orders.
• • Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately to required dimensions.
• • Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and blade changes as needed.
• • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• • Follow all workplace safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
• • Record production numbers, scrap, and material usage as required.
• • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or material issues promptly.
