Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition

Cherry Bekaert’s Recruitment & Staffing practice has been engaged by a public, fast‐growing SaaS company to help identify a Senior Accountant – Revenue Recognition for their Revenue Accounting team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their technical revenue expertise and work in a collaborative, in‐office environment.

What You’ll Do
This role sits within a high‐visibility revenue function and partners closely with Sales, Legal, and senior leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and interpreting customer contracts for ASC 606 compliance
- Setting up and maintaining revenue plans in NetSuite
- Partnering with Sales & Legal on deal structure and revenue implications
- Supporting month‐end close, audit activities, and revenue documentation
- Assisting with SSP / fair value analyses and technical accounting research
- Interacting with external auditors and gaining exposure to SEC filings
This is a technical, deal‐oriented role rather than a heavy GL close seat.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The client is targeting candidates who bring:
- Big 4 Senior Auditor experience (2+ busy seasons) or strong public‐to‐corporate transition experience
- Software / SaaS revenue recognition exposure
- Solid understanding of ASC 606
- CPA preferred, or in progress
- Ability to collaborate cross‐functionally with Sales, Legal, and leadership
- Motivation to specialize in revenue and technical accounting
