LHH is assisting a client with their search for a Tax Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience specializing in either direct tax (such as corporate income tax, personal income tax) or indirect tax (such as sales tax, VAT, GST). This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge in tax accounting and contribute to our organization's compliance and reporting functions. Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, or other entities, focusing on either direct or indirect tax areas.

Assist in the timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns and related documentation.

Support senior accountants in tax planning, research, and analysis to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance.

Maintain accurate records of tax payments, filings, and supporting documentation.

Communicate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assist in implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.

Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and support audits as needed.

Contribute to the improvement of tax processes and systems within the organization.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in either direct or indirect tax accounting.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
