We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Lead Aerospace Electronics Assembler to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety compliance, and meeting production targets in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PCB assembly, Wire Harness Assembly, team supervision, and process improvement.

Job Description

  • Assign daily tasks to assemblers and technicians based on schedule priorities and team skill levels.

  • Provide on-the-job guidance and support to ensure proper assembly techniques and efficiency.

  • Train and onboard new hires in electronics assembly standards.

  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback, coaching, or corrective action as needed.

  • Plan and manage workflow to meet production targets, deadlines, and quality standards.

  • Ensure materials, components, and tools are available for scheduled builds.

  • Actively troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering or maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain production records and report daily output and downtime.

  • Inspect workstations and finished assemblies for workmanship, soldering quality, and compliance.

  • Support AOI, functional testing, and final inspection processes.

  • Identify and report defects or process deviations; ensure corrective measures are implemented.

  • Facilitate communication between team members, supervisors, quality, and engineering departments.

  • Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, challenges, and updates.

  • Participate in assembly processes (e.g., soldering, wiring, rework) as needed.

  • Serve as a technical resource and lead by example to maintain high workmanship standards.

  • Track inventory usage and report material shortages or discrepancies.

  • Ensure records are complete and compliant with audit and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Experience as a lead in Electrical Assembly required.
  • 6+ experience with Electrical assembly, PCB, cabling, wire harness, and routing wire experience required.
  • 6+ years of working in any Aerospace, EV, or Medical industry preferred.
  • Proven success in a multidisciplinary product design environment preferred.
  • IPC Standards, J standard experience required, certification is preferred.
  • Experience with SMT Machines, rework.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools is a plus
