Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols
- Manage inventory of sterile supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels and accurate documentation
- Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory logs
- Prepare and organize sterilized instruments for surgical procedures to ensure timely availability
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing and handling
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control policies, and regulatory standards
- Assist with setup and breakdown of sterilization equipment as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- Prior experience in sterile processing or surgical instrumentation (not required; training provided)
