The Opportunity
This position is ideal for a leader who thrives on the chance to develop, align, and elevate a clinically robust OB/GYN program. The Chief of OB/GYN will have the chance to establish and promote a clear, progressive vision for OB/GYN and maternity services. - Enhancing the patient experience.
- Differentiating care delivery in a competitive landscape.
- Strengthening integration across outpatient practices and labor and delivery operations.
- Expanding and optimizing the provider model through strategic recruitment and team development.
This role operates within a dyad leadership structure alongside the Service Line Administrator, combining strategic oversight, operational responsibility, and active clinical involvement.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience in the OB/GYN specialty, with a proven track record of guiding or influencing physicians and advanced practice providers within a complex clinical setting, community health system, or integrated delivery network. Experience in enhancing patient satisfaction, access, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance is essential, along with familiarity with risk-based or value-based care environments. Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and either possess or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.
The Organization
Our organization is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system that offers a comprehensive range of services to patients of all ages throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. It includes the award-winning Brockton Hospital, the Signature Medical Group (SMG) with over 150 physicians across 15 locations, and the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. The OB/GYN department currently manages between 1,300 and 1,500 deliveries annually, supported by a team of 16 OB/GYN providers, and is actively expanding to meet community demands.

Brockton, Massachusetts, is situated about 20 miles south of Boston, 40 miles northeast of Providence, 40 miles west of Cape Cod, and 200 miles northeast of New York City. As the center of a densely populated area, Brockton features a diverse mix of urban, suburban, and rural communities.
