Infusion RN for outpatient clinic. 20 hours orientation (more if needed). Caribbean Blue/Teal scrubs, not provided. 1st time traveler OK.
2 years' Experience Required:
3 preferred. No on call. Weekends, float required.
Certifications Required:
ONS Chemo cert; BLS (AHA only, no Heart Code)

Infusion Center; Outpatient Oncology; Administration of chemotherapy; Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy; Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy; IV push administration of chemotherapy; Management/disposal cytotoxic spills; Monitor chemotherapy; Oral Administration of chemotherapy; Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values; Accessing ports; Care and management of ports; Central line blood draw; Central Line/Implanted Line Care; Infusion pump management; Intravenous hydration/multivitamins; PICC line care; Starting IVs; Antiemetic; Antitumor; Antibiotic; Corticosteroids; Neupogen; Hormonal therapy; Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS); Anaphylaxis; Extravasation injury; Hemorrhage; Sepsis; Spinal Cord Compression; Neutropenic precautions; Phlebotomy skills; Patient/Family education and support; Alteration in skin and mucous membranes; Altered mental status; Constipation/diarrhea; Dysphagia; Edema; Nausea/vomiting; Neuropathy
Experience Preferred:
Care of pt with various types of cancer (Bladder/Kidney Cancer, Brain cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Ear/Nose/Throat Cancers, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias, Liver Cancer, Lung cancer, Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Ovarian Cancer/Uterine Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer. Prostate Cancer); Administration of coagulation factors; EPIC documentation; SBAR communication
