$32.00 - $48.00

Position Highlights

Hours: Shift times vary, typically 8-hour shifts, with a rotation for on-call, weekends, and holidays; 4-5 shifts per week (72 hours over 2 weeks).

Overview

This position involves delivering nursing care by formulating nursing diagnoses, setting care objectives, defining interventions, and providing comprehensive support—physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual—to patients, their families, and friends. You will also monitor changing conditions and needs, and reassess care objectives as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care by reviewing physician orders, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with the healthcare team while providing holistic support to patients and their families.
  • Develop nursing care plans by gathering medical histories, examining patients, documenting their physical and psychological conditions, and collaborating with family members.
  • Educate patients and their families about healthcare needs, setting care goals, and providing resources and answers to their questions.
  • Assess patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, evaluating health outcomes, and modifying care plans as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following infection control protocols, medication management procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Document patient care services accurately in patient and departmental records.
  • Maintain patient care equipment by following operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring supplies are stocked.
  • Manage inventory of patient care supplies by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Stay updated on nursing competencies as outlined by leadership.

Essential Qualifications

The candidate must be able to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions satisfactorily. This includes having adequate visual acuity and the ability to communicate effectively. Required Education, Licensure/Certification, or Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.

Preferred Education, Licensure/Certification, or Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
