Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity delivering occupational therapy services in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time position offers the chance to make a difference with a diverse PreK-8th grade caseload spread across multiple school sites. Enjoy a consistent 40-hour workweek, from early August through late May, collaborating with dedicated staff and supporting students’ growth and development.
What you bring:
- Valid OT licensure in California
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy in schools, with strong understanding of IEP process
- Familiarity working with PreK through 8th grade populations
- Proficiency in delivering therapy and assessments in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a schedule across multiple sites
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support teams
- Comfort with various service delivery models within a school environment (teletherapy is not required at this time)
- Self-motivation and adaptability to changing student needs
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with IEP teams
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Document progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with school and legal standards
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Travel between school sites as needed to serve students throughout the district
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and related school activities
