Position Overview
We are seeking an Audiologist to conduct medical evaluations for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. Veterans will submit their claims prior to your assessment, and all relevant medical records will be accessible through a secure computer portal for your review during the appointment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test.
- Complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the computer portal, which serves as essential medical evidence for the VA's decision-making regarding benefits.
- Assess and review an average of 3-6 Veterans daily.
Work Schedule
This is an in-person role with a consistent schedule of three days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Each patient appointment will last between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes. Please note that this position does not involve evenings, on-call duties, weekends, or hearing aid sales.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an ASHA-accredited institution.
- Current licensure as an Audiologist.
