Location: Various locations across Indiana, including Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital, Richmond State Hospital, and the Indianapolis Neurodiagnostic Institute.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
  • Licensure: Indiana Radiologic License (for X-rays) and CPR certification required.
  • Experience: 1+ years in dental assisting; hospital or public health experience a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in sterilization protocols, dental X-rays, inventory management, and EHR systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures, record medical/dental histories, and assist dentists during treatments.
  • Sterilize instruments, set up trays, and maintain compliance with infection control standards.
  • Expose and process diagnostic X-rays under dentist supervision.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments.
  • Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
