Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
- Licensure: Indiana Radiologic License (for X-rays) and CPR certification required.
- Experience: 1+ years in dental assisting; hospital or public health experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in sterilization protocols, dental X-rays, inventory management, and EHR systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures, record medical/dental histories, and assist dentists during treatments.
- Sterilize instruments, set up trays, and maintain compliance with infection control standards.
- Expose and process diagnostic X-rays under dentist supervision.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments.
- Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
