Job Description
Senior CNC Machinist (Aerospace)
8+ Years Experience REQUIRED | $40–$50/hr
We’re not hiring beginners.
We’re hiring elite CNC Machinists.
We’re building the world’s fastest passenger aircraft, and that means every part must be flawless. If you’ve spent 8+ years mastering CNC machining, holding tight tolerances, and producing aerospace-grade components under pressure—this is where your skill actually matters.
This role is for machinists who don’t need hand-holding, don’t miss details, and don’t accept “close enough.”
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Independently set up and run CNC mills, lathes, and advanced machining centers
- Machine high-tolerance aerospace components to exact specifications
- Read and execute complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings without guesswork
- Write, edit, and optimize G-code and M-code to improve cycle times and accuracy
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot tooling, programming, and setup issues before they impact production
- Maintain machine health through routine maintenance and proactive problem-solving
- Drive efficiency, quality, and accountability on the shop floor
- Maintain a clean, disciplined, safety-first work environment
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- 8+ years of professional CNC machining experience (this is a hard requirement)
- Proven experience with CNC mills and/or lathes in a production environment
- Expert-level blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and shop math
- Hands-on experience setting up tooling and editing CNC programs
- Strong understanding of SPC, process control, and lean manufacturing
- Ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision
- Track record of producing consistent, high-quality parts under deadline pressure
Ideal Background (Strongly Preferred)
- Aerospace, defense, or other ultra-tight tolerance machining experience
- Multi-axis machining experience (4-axis, 5-axis)
- Experience with custom fixturing and complex setups
- Known for catching issues before they become scrap
- Pride in craftsmanship—you care about precision, repeatability, and first-pass yield
Compensation & Total Rewards
- $40–$50/hour, based on experience and performance
- Long-term incentives or equity opportunities
- Flexible PTO
- Progressive benefits package
This isn’t a “clock-in, clock-out” machining job.
This is a chance to build hardware that very few people on the planet ever will.
