Job Description:
The Mobility Enterprise Programmed Aircraft Sustainment Support seeks a Senior Research Data Analyst with a deep operational understanding of USAF mobility aircraft, logistics data systems, and maintenance analytics. This role is specifically focused on supporting the Air Mobility Command (AMC) mission and requires direct experience with USAF logistics and sustainment environments. Candidates MUST have military aviation or United States Air Force (USAF) logistics experience in the Military or as a contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, validate, and analyze data from USAF maintenance and logistics systems relevant to mobility aircraft (e.g., C-17, C-5, KC-135, KC-46).
- Utilize and cross-reference information from a range of USAF logistics data systems, including but not limited to:
- G081 (Integrated Maintenance Data System - IMDS for mobility)
- PDMSS (Program Depot Maintenance Scheduling System)
- LEAP (Logistics Evaluation Assurance Program)
- REMIS (Reliability and Maintainability Information System)
- SBSS/D200A (Standard Base Supply System / Logistics Support)
- Integrated Logistics System – Supply (ILS-S)
- JDRS (Joint Deficiency Reporting System)
- CMMS (Comprehensive Engine Management System)
- AFEMS (Air Force Equipment Management System)
- DRILS (Depot Repair Information Logistics System)
- Evaluate aircraft readiness trends, maintenance cycle timelines, and depot throughput using advanced analytics, ensuring alignment with MAF sustainment and sortie generation goals.
- Collaborate directly with HQ AMC, A4 staff, Maintenance Groups (MXGs), and other USAF logistics stakeholders to improve data fidelity and drive actionable insights.
- Apply mathematical modeling, forecasting, and simulation techniques using tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Simio, Python, and VBA to support predictive maintenance, fleet health, and logistics optimization.
- Design dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar tools to convey complex sustainment issues to both strategic and tactical audiences.
- Author technical documentation, analytic reports, and executive briefings supporting Air Force deliverables and Mission objectives.
- Lead cross-functional analytic projects, support sustainment strategy development, and contribute to enterprise-level planning and logistics capability assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with United States Air Forces logistics systems and maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in USAF data environments, with emphasis on AMC or aircraft sustainment missions.
- Working knowledge of USAF maintenance data collection procedures, logistics chain processes, and aircraft lifecycle support.
- Background in aviation logistics, aircraft maintenance engineering, or aerospace sustainment analysis.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Applied Math, or a related technical field; equivalent USAF experience accepted.
- Ability to work across government, contractor, and depot interfaces within EPASS and greater USAF logistics enterprise.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting the Mobility EPASS contract or related logistics analysis roles within AMC or AFSC.
- Familiarity with AFTO Form 781 series, TO 00-20 series, and associated maintenance documentation standards.
- Experience working with Depot Maintenance Activity Groups (DMAGs), ALCs, and HQ AMC A4 or A9 staff functions.

Senior Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret DoD Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level - NO Exceptions
- U.S. Citizenship required for U.S. Government entity.
- AND One of the following combinations of education/experience:
- MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
- BA/BS, fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
- HSD/GED, twenty (20) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, Five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
