POSITION SUMMARY:
Gather established pricing from suppliers and manufacturers for parts used on electronic assemblies as specified on our customer's bills of materials and drawings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide complete pricing for assemblies being quoted for manufacturing new assemblies, prototype, and re-quotes.
- Follow documented procedures and on-the-job training in order to accurately provide comprehensive quotes for the sales staff and customers.
- Develop a rapport with commonly used manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers that can provide quality parts and services.
- Complete all documentation requirements to ensure accuracy, accountability, and protect the company from any undue monetary liabilities. Support the sales team with timely and accurate quotes necessary for the company to win new business and continue providing quality services to our current customers. This position must also have the ability help in the Purchasing-Buyer role when needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
- High level of computer knowledge/experience using Microsoft Windows format to be able to adapt to other programs used for this position.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and service levels- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual agreements- Manage inventory control processes to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in supply chain management Skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Proficient in using procurement software and tools - Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and production planning processes - Familiarity with contract management principles - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines - Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
