Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is located in Salida, Co. You can commute for your PRN shifts which would include one weekend/month, holidays and vacation coverage.

This position is scheduled to work PRN ( on call as needed and will receive an 8% pay differential ). You are also eligible for weekend shift differential.

This position may be filled by either an Occupational Therapist (OT) or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Education and/or Experience
• The Occupational Therapist is a graduate of an occupational therapist Bachelor's,
• Master's or Doctorate accredited degree program.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current, active Occupational Therapist License in Colorado or a permit from the licensing board while awaiting licensure exam.
• Current CPR Certification.

What You’ll Do
Provide client-centered occupational therapy across preventive, acute, and rehabilitative care. You’ll support individuals’ physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and sensory needs to promote independence, well-being, and meaningful participation in daily life. In a consultative role, you’ll assist with mental health screening, assessment, and care coordination—helping patients maximize function and reduce the need for higher levels of care.

This role spans preventive, acute, and rehabilitative care, with a strong focus on helping patients build independence, prevent decline, and reduce the need for more intensive services—while delivering compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy every step of the way.
