Job DescriptionAssembly Pay Rates and Hours:
- $17.50/hr
- Monday -Thursday 5 am-3:30 pm, OT as required
Assembly Purpose:Performs a variety of assembly/disassembly and fastening/unfastening of parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, cut, or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications. Prepare surfaces for paint application.Assembly Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares weld area appropriately to result in good weld penetration and meets structural integrity criteria
- Collaborates with peers to accomplish projects or tasks
- Develops and maintains relationships with peers and customers
- Participates in group discussions and meetings
- Perform checks on product and process
- Assure material integrity by routine inspection by following established procedures and quality processes and specifications
- Assure piece and work output meet specifications
- Sort and separate defective materials and parts
- Assembles/disassemble and fasten/unfasten parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut, or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications
- Assemble/disassemble small parts not requiring precision alignment or small tolerances
- Assemble/disassemble small parts requiring precision alignment and small tolerances
- Performs any other assigned task
Assembly Basic Requirements:
- At least 3 months of mechanical hand tools or power tools work experience
- Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience required.
- Must be able to comprehend the English language
Assembly Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read and follow work procedures
- Ability to work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents, and paints
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and work around moving vehicles, on ladders and scaffolding, below ground level, with vibratory tools
Assembly Desired Skills:
- Hand tool experience using wrenches, clamps, benders, and box knives
- Power tool experience using power drills and fastening tools
- Ability to achieve high-performance goals with changing work directions
