The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in overseeing warehouse operations and managing a team of more than 20 employees. This position ensures the smooth flow of inventory management, order processing, and shipment coordination while maintaining safety compliance and quality control. The Warehouse Lead supports team development, operates equipment, and drives process improvements to enhance overall warehouse efficiency. This role offers opportunities for advancement into Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, or Logistics Coordinator positions and involves working day, night, or rotating shifts with occasional regional travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory using manual tracking, basic inventory software, and advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) integrated with ERP
- Supervise and lead a warehouse team of over 20 employees
- Process orders and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Ensure compliance with safety and workplace regulations
- Maintain quality control standards throughout warehouse operations
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities
- Train and develop warehouse staff to improve performance
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Generate reports to track operational metrics
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Proficiency with inventory management systems
- Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals
- Understanding of workplace safety standards
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Effective problem-solving and time management abilities
- Experience with equipment operation
