Position Summary

Almont is hiring front-of-house team members for Server, Bartender, Host, Support Staff, Market, and Bakery positions. These roles are essential to creating a welcoming, organized, and memorable guest experience across multiple touchpoints of the operation.

Front-of-house team members at Almont are expected to deliver genuine hospitality, communicate clearly, move with urgency, and contribute to a team environment built on professionalism, consistency, and care. Whether serving guests in the dining room, supporting the floor, assisting in the market, or helping create a strong bakery experience, each role plays an important part in maintaining the standards of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience and Hospitality

  • Deliver warm, genuine, and attentive hospitality to every guest.
  • Help create an experience that feels welcoming, organized, and enjoyable from arrival through departure.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and teammates.
  • Support a service environment built on timing, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • Represent Almont and Elk Ave Hospitality with professionalism and pride.

Service Execution and Floor Support

  • Perform the responsibilities of the assigned role with consistency, urgency, and accuracy.
  • Support the overall flow of service by working collaboratively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Assist with guest service, food running, beverage service, table maintenance, guest seating, and general floor support as needed.
  • Help maintain awareness of service pacing, guest needs, and overall operational flow.
  • Support service standards across dining, guest-facing, and retail-facing areas of the operation.

Market, Bakery, and Guest-Facing Readiness

  • Help maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready service areas throughout each shift.
  • Support the presentation, stocking, cleanliness, and readiness of market, bakery, host, and service areas.
  • Follow all company standards for cleanliness, side work, opening duties, and closing duties.
  • Help ensure guest-facing spaces are welcoming, well maintained, and reflective of the Almont experience.

Teamwork and Professionalism

  • Work closely with managers and teammates to support a strong service culture.
  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and efficiently throughout each shift.

Role-Specific Opportunities

Servers

Servers are responsible for guiding the guest experience through knowledgeable, attentive, and polished table service. This role requires strong menu knowledge, communication skills, timing, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences through hospitality and execution.

Bartenders

Bartenders are responsible for delivering high-quality beverage service while maintaining an organized, efficient, and guest-focused bar environment. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, speed, professionalism, and the ability to balance direct guest interaction with service bar responsibilities.

Hosts

Hosts are responsible for managing the guests first impression and helping maintain the pace and flow of the operation. This role requires warmth, organization, communication, and a strong sense of awareness around reservations, guest arrivals, and service timing.

Support Staff

Support Staff are responsible for helping maintain the flow, cleanliness, and readiness of service stations and guest-facing spaces. This role is essential to smooth operations and strong guest experiences, requiring urgency, awareness, consistency, and a team-first mindset.

Market

Market team members help create a clean, welcoming, and well-organized guest experience in a fast-paced retail setting. This role includes guest interaction, stocking, product presentation, cleanliness, and supporting the overall flow of the market environment.

Bakery

Bakery team members support a guest experience built around quality, presentation, and efficiency. This role may include guest service, stocking, product knowledge, presentation, and helping maintain a clean and inviting bakery space.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred, but not required for all roles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to strong guest service.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure and urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, bakery, or guest service experience is preferred.
  • Strong guest service instincts and a genuine interest in hospitality.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain standards during busy shifts.
  • Comfort learning menus, service standards, products, and company systems.
  • For bartending roles, experience with cocktails, beer, wine, and bar service is preferred.
  • For server roles, experience with full-service dining and guest interaction is preferred.
  • For host roles, experience with reservations, guest flow, and communication is preferred.
  • For support roles, experience with food running, bussing, station stocking, and floor support is preferred.
  • For market and bakery roles, experience with retail service, stocking, product presentation, or guest-facing counter service is preferred.

Physical and Position Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and move continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, reach, stoop, and carry throughout each shift.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Must be capable of adjusting to changes in pace, priorities, and business volume.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed in a seasonal hospitality environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry service items, trays, glassware, supplies, or retail products as needed for the role.
  • Bartender applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

Important Position Information

These are hourly, non-exempt positions. Compensation is based on experience. Hourly positions are not immediately eligible for health benefits or paid time off.
