Job Description
Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of Gas Turbine projects through strong technical project management, cross-functional coordination, and proactive issue resolution. This role partners with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and customer-facing teams to ensure project requirements are fully met and delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead or support Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs) with customers, EPCs, and design representatives.
- Review contract documentation and clearly communicate technical and project requirements to all design and engineering functions.
- Utilize internal documentation and collaboration systems to ensure alignment across internal engineering organizations.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate engineering schedule risks; drive preventative actions to avoid delays and ensure timely customer deliverables.
- Provide technical support across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure equipment meets customer specifications and business goals.
- Manage and track vendor documentation to support milestone achievement and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to ~10%.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership-level communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to build strong relationships and represent technical content effectively.
- Demonstrated creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or working knowledge of plant system design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and/or testing.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a drive for operational excellence.
