We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish English) Front Office Assistant to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience. The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors with a courteous and professional demeanor.
Register new patients and update existing records accurately.
Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments.
Check in patients, verify insurance, and collect copays/deductibles.
Check out patients per physician instructions and coordinate follow-up visits.
Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
Prepare and maintain patient electronic medical records, including scanning and filing documents.
Collect patient payments and maintain billing information.
Obtain and manage consent, HIPAA, and other required documentation.
Assist with physician orders and coordinate information with other medical facilities.
Maintain smooth communication between patients, staff, and providers.
Handle administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and sorting mail.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English – Required
Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a medical receptionist or a Medical Assistant is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/certification in medical administration is a plus).
Strong computer and data entry skills, with experience using eCW.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with specific attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance protocols, and clinic operations preferred.
