Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available working with 1st grade students in a Mild/Moderate autism (TAP) classroom. This contract position is located at an elementary school site in Vacaville, CA, with an assignment duration from ASAP through June 6th, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the needs of 6 students with mild to moderate disabilities, focusing on autism.
• Develop and implement specialized lesson plans and behavior supports in alignment with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to support student progress and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records and provide ongoing assessments to monitor student development.

Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education credential is required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in autism-focused classrooms.
• Strong knowledge of special education instructional methodologies and behavior management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school team and maintain effective communication with parents and professionals.

Location:Vacaville, CA (Cooper Elementary School site)
