Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Ultrasound Technologist with over three years of experience is sought for an engaging inpatient and outpatient imaging role in Fort Wainwright, AK. This position involves performing general and OB ultrasound scans, including vascular and neonatal assessments, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in both emergency and routine settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ultrasound procedures including general, OB, vascular (venous studies), neonatal head and hip scans.
- Review orders in outpatient settings and assist with protocol development.
- Float between inpatient and outpatient departments as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weeknight and weekend coverage.
- Support holiday coverage and provide occasional evening shifts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including recent inpatient and emergency department experience.
- Proficiency in OB and general ultrasound scans is required.
- Experience with ultrasound procedure scans highly preferred.
- Vascular and neonatal scanning experience is a strong asset.
- ARDMS or ARRT certification in Ultrasound and current BLS certification required.
- Experience with order review and protocol assistance in outpatient settings necessary.
- Travel experience preferred but not mandatory.
Schedule and On-Call Requirements:
- Typically 5 eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with occasional evenings.
- Weekly 24-hour on-call shifts plus every 6th weekend coverage.
- Holiday shifts as scheduled.
