  • Perform on-the-floor quality testing as required
  • Maintain and manage spare parts inventory
  • Troubleshoot systems and perform repairs in coordination with supervisors and vendors
  • Monitor in-plant processes to ensure adherence to standard practices and special instructions
  • Implement and audit departmental quality systems
  • Ensure product traceability across assigned areas
  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Apply ABS principles and A3 problem-solving methodologies
  • Coach team members on Quality and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices
  • Monitor final product data for trends and process improvements
  • Maintain quality records, procedures, and documentation
  • Support development of APQP tools (FMEA, control plans, reaction plans)
  • Ensure compliance with TS16949 standards and VPM systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reduce costs
  • Support plant safety initiatives

Experience you will need: Metallurgical Technician

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Experience in hot rolling, cold rolling, or heat treatment operations (preferred)
  • Experience working with automotive customers (preferred)
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or ABS principles (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or within cross-functional teams (preferred)
