A custom fluid power company is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler.
As a Production Scheduler/Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production processes. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules across multiple departments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and addressing any operational challenges that arise. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production schedules for multiple departments using data from reports
- Monitor production schedules to ensure they are being followed and make adjustments as needed
- Evaluate production schedule for safety stock and minimum order sizes in alignment with demand and current production volumes
- Coordinate with purchasing to communicate upcoming outside service requirements
- Alert supervisors and purchasing of any manufacturing supply shortages
- Effective communication with management and production personnel, providing guidance and solutions during challenging situations
- Ability to solve day-to-day problems promptly, often with limited data or standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with CNC turning and machining is required
- Experience in scheduling the in-house production departments
- Release and print work orders and associated production documents based on booking and planning reports
- Assemble work order packets for the shop floor, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Verify engineering revision levels against routing specifications
