Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Supervisor of Special Education (Case Manager) to support a K-12 school district located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This contract role runs from December 1, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate varied workweeks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation to ensure compliance
- Managing placement paperwork and case files across the district
- Training staff on identifying and correcting errors in IEPs
- Supporting special education staff through regular consultation and oversight as assigned
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification is required
- Proven experience working within special education in K-12 settings
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in compliance documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Commitment to supporting high-quality services for students with disabilities
Location:
Work is based in the Jim Thorpe area, with assignments district-wide. Work hours are flexible, potentially Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
