Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in Bennettsville, SC. This contract role runs through the school year and requires on-site presence. The opportunity includes working with diverse age groups in both early childhood and high school special education settings.
Location:
- Bennettsville, South Carolina
Position Details:
- PreK caseload at a primary school with a self-contained classroom for 3-4 year olds
- High school special education resource teacher supporting approximately 22-25 students
- Potential high school self-contained teacher role with around 10 students (likely but not guaranteed)
- Required physical ability to lift and meet classroom demands
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration from early January to early June for both PreK and high school terms
- Onsite position only
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina teaching license with Multi-Categorical and Early Childhood endorsements
- Experience working with PreK and high school special education students preferred
- Ability to manage self-contained classrooms and resource teaching responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
