Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and personable Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the front office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and ensure a welcoming, professional experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently
- Verify dental insurance benefits and update patient information
- Check patients in and out; collect co-pays and payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and HIPAA compliance
- Communicate treatment plans, financial expectations, and office policies
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle general front office and administrative duties
Qualifications
- Dental office or medical front desk experience preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with dental software (Dentrix)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced private practice environment
